Refund/Return Policy

TOUR TICKETS

SETI or High Tech refund requests must be made at least 1 full week before your scheduled tour date. For the most timely response, please email visit@gbobservatory.org or call 304-456-2150 to request a refund. 

Guided Bus Tour refund requests must be made before the day of your tour. For same day requests, you MUST speak with someone on the phone to ensure your message has been received. Refunds will not be issued after the scheduled start of the tour. Please email visit@gbobservatory.org or call 304-456-2150 to request a refund. 

MERCHANDISE RETURNS
Items still in their original condition and packaging may be returned for up to 30 days after purchase. If 30 days have gone by since your purchase, unfortunately we can’t offer you a refund or exchange.

Gift Cards cannot be returned.

There are certain situations where only partial refunds are granted (if applicable):

  • Books with obvious signs of use

  • Packaged products that have been opened and cannot be resealed 

  • CDs or DVDs that have been opened

  • Any item not in its original condition, including items that are damaged or missing parts for reasons not due to our error

  • Any item that is returned more than 30 days after delivery

Return Shipping
To return your product, please include your receipt or order number inside the package and mark "return" on the exterior of the package. Mail your your return package to:

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. Additionally, if you receive a merchandise refund, the cost of original shipping will NOT be refunded.

Refunds (if applicable)
Once your return is received and inspected, we will email you to confirm receipt and notify you whether a full or partial refund has been approved.

If you have returned an item and have not received notification regarding your refund within 2 weeks, please contact us at visit@gbobservatory.org or call 304-456-2150. We encourage you to consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We are not responsible for items that are lost or damaged during shipping.

Exchanges
Unfortunately we cannot offer exchanges for shipped items. If you return the item in original condition, we are happy to issue a refund, and you are welcome to place a new order for the item you wish to replace it with.
